Maria Lafazani Clinical Laboratories
The Clinical Laboratories Maria Lafazani are registered in the Clinical Laboratories Association of Cyprus, according to the provisions of Article 5 of the Law on Registration of Clinical Laboratories, Law 132 / 88. They are approved in the following areas: Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Haematology. Our laboratories are also contracted with the General Health System of Cyprus (GHS).
The clinical laboratory is accredited according to the recognized International Standard ISO 15189:2012 (CYS EN ISO 15189:2012).
About the director
Η Μαρία Λαφαζάνη, είναι η διευθύντρια του κλινικού εργαστηρίου. Είναι απόφοιτος του Λυκείου Αγίου Γεωργίου Λάρνακας. Ακολούθως, σπούδασε σε διακεκριμένα πανεπιστήμια του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου και έτυχε μετεκπαίδευσης στο Πανεπιστημιακό Γενικό Νοσοκομείο «Αττικόν», Ιατρική Σχολή, του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.
Studies and Postgraduate Education
- University of Essex, Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, 2012-2015.
- Imperial College London, Master of Science in Molecular Biology & Pathology of Viruses, 2015 - 2016.
- Four year Postgraduate Training (2016-2020) at the University General Hospital ATTIKON, Athens, in the fields:
- Microbiology
- Immunology
- Biochemistry
- Haematology
She has participated in a significant number of world and European conferences. She is a member of the Association of Clinical Laboratory Directors of Cyprus and a member of the Association of Accredited Laboratories of Cyprus.
